Hi there Kenny,

I would keep your eye on...

http://www.homeworkshop.org.uk/

I got mine from Chris Heapy's version of this site, and I think some more
was advertised within the last month.

You could also keep your eye on...

http://www.stationroadsteam.co.uk/

...in the miscelaneous section.

Also...

http://www.theengineersemporium.co.uk/
http://www.viewmodels.co.uk/

Maxitrax also have a second hand section...

http://www.maxitrak.co.uk/view.asp

...and there is also e-bay - if you look at item 200029378191 there is
some complete track there for sale.

One slight point - you say you are after rail. Personally I found that the
cost of the sleepers, if using hardwood ones was as bad as the cost of the
rail. The overall saving from buying second hand rail was possibly not
worth the effort in my case for a 60 foot run of track.

The other point is that what do you intend to do with the rail? Old
aluminium rail isn't smooth, it gets white 'nobbles' on it, and I'd
suggest checking out with someone thats tried putting old AL rail through
a rail bender to see how it went, if that's what you plan to do. My gut
feeling is that you could save a few pounds, but cause yourself weeks of
extra work.

Yours,

Rich.
