Clif,
I do regularly "scan" Ebay" for stuff that I can use, and indeed, one 
comes across the occasional piece of Cu boiler barrel (they even had a 
full size boiler for sale yesterday,and it was a pity, it wasn't in the 
South East for I would have considered it!)
But so far I haven't seen any 10" steel tubing for sale. And I also 
believe, that private individuals, would pay a very high cost for 
shipping goods, more so then companies would...
