[modeleng] Re: photos on Flickr & the like

Copyright is interesting...
The California golf course Pebble Beach claims copyright of the views of their 
symbol tree, "The Lone Cyprus".

They also "give permission" for non-commercial photography for personal use.  

Since the most famed view, and indeed most views from land, are from the golf 
course's private property, their claim for photographs from their property may 
be valid.  

I question whether their claims would apply to photos taken from the ocean, but 
maybe photos from the ocean would look like any old rock with a tree growing on 
it.
