[modeleng] Re: non runner

Though the words "valve buckle" is totally new to me, I had perzackly the
same problem with my skidder/loader engine that I had not operated for a
year or more. The valve nut in the centre of the valve was a wee bit tight
in the slot in the back of the valve. Removed the valves and used a jewelers
file to slightly widen the slot so the nut worked freely up and down and
could float against the valve seat. Perks werfectly now.

Urr, uhhhh, my Audel's Engineers and Mechanics Guide on steam engines from
1921 has no reference to a valve "Buckle", but does show a rectangular valve
"yoke" or "frame" attached to the valve rod that the valve is free to move
vertically inside to allow it to seat properly. Maybe we have a Brit term
here in Buckle???
