Hi All,
I made a cheap DRO for my Myford by using one of the cheapy 12" long DRO
vertical units as sold at ME exhibitions by firms such as Arc Eurotrade.
I think it cost £29 plus a bit of creativity to fit it to the cross slide.
The fit is semi-permanent as I have to take it off ( two screws ) when using
the Vertical Slide attachment or have the Cross slide very close the the
Tailstock when it gets in the way. The unit has an accuracy of half a thou
and as it is not waterproof, I have a flap of clear flexible plastic over
the top of it so that it is protected from Soluble Oil.
Regards
Clif
