I am not sure what the preserved engines have, but it was either matt or the
satiny (is that a word) finish that one gets when wiping matt paint with a
mix of oil and paraffin, which is what they used to do.

Chaps
The uppermost part of my King tender now needs paint and its obviously
black, but should it be Matt, Satin or Gloss. The only pictures I have are
black and white so that's no help. Does anyone on the list have a definitive
answer?
Kind regards,
