Except John Logie Baird did NOT invent television as we know it. 
Television using a CRT was predicated by Von Ardenne before Baird started, 
and TV was really invented by Zworykin of RCA who invented the original 
Iconoscope camera tube, and Blumlein of EMI (interlaced scanning), in 
conjunction with various people at Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Company 
Ltd., who produced the first VHF Band 1 TV transmitter - an SWB15.
