[modeleng] Re: freebies

According to my insurance "no remuneration either monetary or in kind other
than reasonable out of pocket expenses and/or a supply of fuel" Euro 30 is a
nice thing to have but it is hardly a fat cat's pay. I would not at all be
surprised if it cost me that much to have a day's drive once you've allowed
for the cost of getting to and from the site and the insurance premium let
alone a contribution towards the cost of materials to make good the wear
occasioned by the running.

One of the (UK) clubs I belong to offers at the end of each season £3 (USD5)
bounty for each time one has turned out on a running day with a loco on
production of evidence of payment of insurance premium greater than the
bounty paid.
