[modeleng] Re: (ex) Dobwalls railway

Rich,
I dont know much, just the rather sketchy account that was in one of the
freebie papers that circulates in the area.
That often has glaring innacuracies, so....

I believe it was the use of the site as a leisure park rather than
agricultural, plus some buildings that were not built or used as per a prior
application.

Hi there Alan,

When you say planning application - it would be interesting to know what
the planning application was about if you're happy to expand a bit on
your original e-mail. Did they need a planning application
for a commercial 7.25" gauge railway, or was the issue the buildings
associated with it, or was it change of use from retail to funfair 'type
issue'?

On a slightly seperarate note - I see that one of the smaller locomotives
from the Dobswall line was up for sale a while back on
www.stationroadsteam.co.uk - the blue Curwen locomotive detailed here...
