[modeleng] Re: coarse threads

I've seen some very old large hydraulic press cylinders with tiebolts that
have probably 2 or 3 TPI threads, but they were 24 or 30 inches in diameter.

Maybe a special cam on a smaller diameter would be cut to 1 to 2 TPI?
fishing reels maybe?
