You seem intent on entering Bodge City here!

One of the reasons for fitting bushes is to make it relatively easy to solve 
this problem - by replacing them. However if you really don't want to do 
that I would suggest wrapping tinfoil around the crank pins fixed in place 
with superglue or Loctite. Although, since the holes in the busfes are 
almost certainly out of round, I don't really recommend this.

For sure you will have the great locomotive designers turning in their 
graves!!
