Hi Barrie and All,

I have been using old Kitchen units with Laminate worktops as work benches 
for about 10 years now and no problems.About four locos have been built so 
far plus the usual household repair jobs.
The only snag I have found it that if you spill oil or water onto them, it 
does not soak in and has to be wiped off.
