Something I should have added in my last post about flooring for workbench 
covering:  My latest is
Industrial grade vinyl and has a slightly non-slip surface and is much tougher 
than the usual
cheapo stuff.  Must have cost me all of a couple of quid!  This one has been in 
use for at least 7
years now with many more years to go.
