Hi all
Thanks for your replies on the angled attachment in the wobbler set. I did
wonder if it is for attaching a DTI, but I've never found a way of fixing
any of mine to it. I don't think it would be very rigid even if I did
manage it, so I agree with John on that score.
I find it much easier to chuck a piece of 1/4" steel, fix a cross-arm to
this using one of the clamps from my magnetic base, and attach the DTI to
this.
Jeff, the electronic edge finder sounds interesting, but how is it affected
by run-out in the chuck? Does this cause the light to flick on and off as
it touches momentarily on each revolution?
