[modeleng] Re: Winson Jubillee

Boiler pressure on the "Queen" must have been pretty low as I seem to
remember Bogie pushing the steam hose back in place when all those Africans
were shooting at it. Biggest laugh I got was watching the poor ignorant
extras trying to operate the bolt action Mausers. I don't think one of them
ever got his bolt to close. Lots different than tossing spears, what? Ah,
but I can hear that engine going Kachunk, Kachunk, Kachunk ever ytime I
remember the movie. Check out the attachment for a pic of my own personal
home made 5 hp "African Queen" engine which is busily accumulating rust on
my carport. 4" bore 5" stroke.
Remember the forge they built to repair the propeller? The bellows Kate was
working is a style that dates from way back and is still used in primitive
countries.
