B-b-b-but if you keep them long enough, they may come in useful, or if you 
are really lucky, become valuable.

Funnily enough, I was looking on Ebay earlier and was surprised how much 
some of my Ham radio spares are now selling for. Valves, of which I have a 
few hundred, are now worth more than their new price. Other old parts are 
also fetching serious money.
Wonder how long I need to wait for my ME spares to be valuable?
