I guessed someone would know.
The thread is 1" BSP, and I guessed that it might be commercial, but my
knowledge of current plumbing practice is mimimal.
Now all I need to do is find a use for it.

It's a bit simpler than that. It is typical of gauges used on domestic combi
boilers on sealed systems. Max pressure when the safety valve will open 3
bar hence the red line. System pressures vary from 0.5 to 1.5 bar, that one
on the upper end I would guess. Flexcom make a lot of sealed system
components for the domestic heating market.
