[modeleng] Welding loco frames to buffer beams (Rob Roy)

Hi there All,

I'm currently doing a spot of work on a Rob Roy chassis, which has been 
rather badly put together.

One thing that needs replacing is the buffer beams.

I'm curious to know if anyone out there has any experience of MIG welding 
the frames to the buffer beams.

I'm planning to slot the buffer beams in the same way tht you would if you 
were attaching them using pieces of angle or by brazing - I'm just 
slightly concerned that distorion of the frames and/or beams would occur.

Any thoughts?
