You can get a differential from a Mobility Scooter, they are bolt on to an
Eaton electric motor. Out here in New Zealand an engineering firm builds
Mobility Scooters, and also Diesel Locomotives @ 7¼" g, and uses damaged
scooters for the motors & drive, also sells to other M/Es to build a loco.
Some of these Senior Citizens are real speed fiends, and can't negotiate
wide footpaths, and crash into power and telephone poles, and gate posts.
The Diesel Locos, have a Kupoto Tractor diesel motor, drive an alternator,
through a bank of batteries, and into the Eaton drive motors, using a
modified control, aka QD4 pattern.
