Hi Tony and All,

The main difference is that you can get BA nuts and bolts with reduced heads 
which are needed to look right in some places. However I do not think that 
you can get metric ones with the same facility. Therefore whilst you could 
use metric where they do not show, if you want a model to look right,you 
will have to use BA in some locations.
You will also find that things like hand rail knobs have BA threads so you 
are going to finish up with a mixture of nuts and bolts eventually.
The joke is that BA threads are basically metric anyway.
