Peter, the fire bars were made by me to a design by my previous boiler maker
who saw them on a traction engine, the theory being the dead ash protects
the bars from the fire.I make them but I have to pay to have them welded.
Couldn't you get someone to copy them & meanwhile cut out the burnt bar &
replace it?
