[modeleng] Re: The sad decision

Hi Hubert

I've just returned form Sandown Park and I have to say I was disappointed
with the show this year. Last year the show seemed to be picking up, but
this year I'm not so sure.

You say that you should have bought a programme - well I certainly didn't
see any for sale, not even a sheet of paper with a plan, which would have
been useful. Considering that this year is the 75th exhibition, I though
this was very poor marketing.

Yes, there were some very fine models, but not many of them, and there were
noticeably fewer clubs and quality trade stands. The "bar" area last year
was reduced to Robot Wars, this year it was virtually empty.

I think those who chose to stay at home because of the weather, made a wise
decision. Driving in the dark and being blinded by spray is not my idea of
fun!

Regards
Ron
