Tony,

Since I have your email addy, I will send you a photo of my 7-1/2" gauge 
RRSC American with a tape measure alongside it.  The Locomotive is well 
proportioned and the original was built in 1864, but rebuilt a few years 
later (after a wreck) with somewhat smaller drive wheels.  The whole kit and 
caboodle is nearly 7 feet long if I remember correctly.
