[modeleng] Re: Steam bicycles / motorbikes

Hi Alan,
I have lost touch with my mate who's brother has a working, I think the only
working, steam motor cycle. We have discussed this on the list before and
someone sent me a full article about the bike. The bike in question is a
Haleson, a basic pushbike but with a steam engine fitted. Built in the
20s/30s I think, it has a top end of about 45mph but only very basic push
bike brakes, scary!!! The bike lives with it's owner in Kinver, West Mids,
along with the owners major collection of bikes.
I can't remember who sent the article, I lost it in a major pc crash so
that's all I know about the bike, other than it is usually at the
Stourbridge carnival / fun day, but don't ask me when that is.

Hope this helps a little,

Dave.

Someone has contacted me regarding the above.
He has collected some information and is looking for more.

Does anyone have any experience, pictures or know of articles (probably long
ago) about them?
