[modeleng] Re: Steam bicycles / motorbikes

Hi All,
While on the subjects of bikes and motorbike steam powered, I was talking to a
friend who designs and develop IC racing engines, he said that BMW and GM have
alternative cars being develop with steam power(Turbine type), i talked to a
mate at work and he said that VW have a triple expansion compound steam engine
in a passat which is running around the streets of germany The start time is
increased for a quick start by using Hyrogren prooxide which is sprayed on to a
silver backing producing steam almost straight away then turning over to LPG as
a fuel sourse to produce conventinal steam, is this one of the new ways to use
steam.
