[modeleng] Re: Steam bicycles / motorbikes

A Bloke named Anton Bohaboy (real name) up near Boston offered for sale the
necessary plans and castings to build a steam bicycle. I remember reading
his ads in the late 1940s and 50s in Popular Mechanics etc. Al Messer may
actually have a copy of a PM with a write-up on the bike. Cole's Power
Models may still offer 'The Vesuvius" which was similar plans and castings,
but I don't know for sure.

Thank you all for the information so far.
 I will pass it on.

I gather there were several articles about them in early (pre-1930's) Model
Engineer and no doubt other magazines.
Although I have a some issues from that era, I havent been able to find any
 articles in those I have.
Anyone have any details of articles or issues, and does anyone know of
anything there anything in other magazines?
I would guess US mag's would have carried similar articles.
