I don't know how your "grape-vine" works so well, Alan. I only
heard, on the local grape-vine, the news about an hour ago! I then
went and had a look at:
http://www.weses.co.uk/WESES/Welcome.html This confirms that it has
been cancelled.
I am surprised as the fields that it is held in drain quite well and
given a couple of days of good weather I am sure they would have been
usable. I suspect that the society is still suffering, financially,
from the bad weather of a couple of years ago - and they don't want to
loose any more of the difficult to find scheckels.
I imagine that there must be a lot of activity behind the scenes to
notify all the participants.
To think that the special article, about the appeal of the
miniature engines, I wrote for the programme won't see the light of day
now!
Cheers,
Roger Mason, in a nice sunny St. Agnes.
