[modeleng] Re: Square pistons

Al,

Under direct email I am sending you some pictures of a Dake so you can see 
exactly what we are talking about.  The piston did not reciprocate back and 
forth like in a regular steam engine.  Instead, it wobbled about inside a 
flat box.  Anyone else interested in what the Dake, and probably other 
square piston engines looked like inside, just send me your email addy and I 
will send you the pictures also.

 Please permit me a dumb question: WHY?  Would not a
 square piston and cylinder be much more difficult to
 seal?
