[modeleng] Re: Split pins

Didn't think there would be any need to make 'em AJ, they come in a vast
assortment of sizes.

However, if making them was/is essential, you first need to produce the half
round wire - there's a number of ways of doing this in lathe or mill, then
cut it to length, now, as Barrie and Chris have said, you bent it around a
steel mandrel - shouldn't need heat until you get up a bit in size, pinch
the 'under' part of the loop together with pliers and you have it.

The two legs of the pin may not lie close together like a commercially made
item, but if you grab 'em just below the head with a pair of needle nosed
plies they will come together and insert in their intended hole easily.
