Peter,

You got some lard sulphur thread cutting oil handy, because regular machine
oil is no good for threading.  Mix in a bit of dry cleaning fluid
(perchlorethane or trichlorethane) or certain types of brake and electric
motor cleaner that have one of those ingredients.  This is what made the old
(good) Tap-Magic® work so well, but is a whole lot cheaper if you buy the
perc. from a dry cleaner or auto parts store .  Besides, Tap-Magic no longer
has Perc in it at least over here 'cause EPA don't like the stuff, but I do.
The perc by itself works fine too.  Just do NOT use it on aluminium!!!!!!!
