Okay - so why not use M16 - thats got a pitch of 2mm, and a diameter
thats practically 5/8". Available from most hardward shops as
well (although not places like B & Q I don't think).
One thing - how powerful is your motor and it's gearbox - is it up to
spinning a lump of metal like this, and when it tries to stop it, will it
loose a geartooth?
