[modeleng] Re: Sale of Deceased ME's workshop

Hi Jon

You certainly missed out on that mill from Mersea. It is old but good
despite the small table. To fund buying it and the truss I sold my own
milling machine very cheaply. Had I known you could gladly have had my old
mill.

Dick used to do his milling in the lathe, I'm afraid so there is nothing in
the milling machine line apart from a sad story about what happened when you
lend stuff to "friends". I bought Dick's main lathe before he died and lent
it to someone who returned it missing many of the attachments including the
milling stuff. Possibly the borrower is reading this. I hope so. I also hope
he is feeling bad.

(I have an old Swiss Hauser instrument makers mill which is likely appearing
on ebay soon but wheher it is sutiable for a a 5" Brit I really wouldn't
like to say.)

I was just speaking to my mother as I was typing which reminds me it was
your mother's 100th last year.

Best regards

Tim
