Archimedes Principle is the basis of all ship stability calculations and is
performed daily on all
floating drilling rigs and before major lifts on offshore construction barges -
as well as on
other vessels before/after loading.
Not so long ago it used to be done longhand/manually, but these days the
process is computerised,
but then what calculations aren't?!
