Hi Roger
I see you've had a good response to this one! Once you've found the optimum
rivet length, you will want to cut all your rivets to exactly that length.
The easiest way is to find a piece of steel plate, of thickness equal to the
finished length of your rivets, and drill a hole in it, the same diameter as
the rivet. Put the plate in the vice, pop a rivet into the hole and knock
the other end off with a sharp cold chisel. Perfect results every time, and
very quick too!
