Hi,
The latest little job involves some riveting. I want to make some
neat looking round head (domed) riveting.
If the diameter of the rivet is "d", what are the proportions of
the rivet head, and more importantly how long should the shank of the
rivet be (the bit sticking out that is going to get walloped) to form
this head with out having either too much or too little material? Do
these proportions vary with different rivet material?
Cheers,
Roger Mason, in a wet and very windy St. Agnes.
