Like Tel,
I have found that even the best penetrating oils will not enter tightly
bound surfaces. They claim to enter millionth of inch gaps, but when
something has rusted tightly or otherwise stuck together, there is no
millionth of an inch space existing, hence the oil does not enter. If it is
possible to get the tiniest amount of movement of the parts, then the
penetrant is able to get in and do its work toward loosening the frozen
objects. Having restored many antique gas engines over the years, I know
whereof I speak ,err type!
