[modeleng] Re: Poms abroad

Peter,

As far as ME clubs etc are concerned, go to the AALS web site
(www.aals.asn.au), click on 'Affiliated Societies' then on 'Club Running
Days'. There is a table of the various clubs and their running days.

In the time you are in Sydney, Blue Mountains, Bankstown, Galston,
Sydney LSLS, Sydney SME, Fairfield all have their regular running days,
and all are in the Sydney greater suburban area.

There is special Birthday run at the Newcastle club on 21-23 Feb (no
public 21-22).

On Australia Day (26th Jan) public holiday, there is always plenty to
see in the city area on the harbour and surrounds (ferry races,
fireworks, free performances etc).

The Boulton & Watt beam engine running under steam at the Power House
museum is worth seeing if you haven't seen it before.
