[modeleng] Re: Pins-striping tool

HI All,

Thanks for the good wishes. Up fast! they had me walking the day after the
operation.
I?have now been home four days.
The strange feeling is now my right leg bone has built in inertia. Normally you
do not feel your bones but now with the weight of a damn great steel spike down
the middle of the bone you can feel the inertia when you change direction. It
is like walking around with the weight of a big spanner tucked into your
trouser pocket.

Mind you the engineering came in useful discussing with the Consultant the type
of Hip Joint to fit. The common ones are plastic sockets with a steel ball with
a wear rate of 0.3mm per year and a maximum life of about 17 years. I got a
Ceramic socket with Ceramic ball with a wear rate of 0.00001 thou per year.
That should last me.

Regards

Clif
