Hi Bede,
I struggled a few years ago trying to get two cylinders equally lubricated
from one lubricator. The method I used to check each cylinder was to steam
the engine on blocks with the draincocks open. I then collected condensate
from each pair of cocks. It was very obvious if oil was getting to the
cylinder from the presence/absence of oil in the condensate.
Congratulations on fixing the boiler leaks - a difficult job done well.
