Some time back, I did an article for the Vintage and Military Amateur 
Radio Society newsletter on the Avo battery problem. It details how to use 
2 PP9 batteries in series witha 68k resistor and is far cheaper than the 
B121. Anyone who wants a copy of the article, let me know.
