It wont be Nexus, but Highbury House PLC, who bought
ME and many other titles.
I have had an email to the effect that they have gone
into receivership, but dont have any definate
information.
It wouldnt surprise me, and in factk a couple of years
ago I mentioned on this forum that I didnt rate their
chances very highly.
Far too much borrowings and paying way above the
market price for title to gain circulation.
The most recent figures I have seen show a loss of
around £80 million, on a turnover of around £110
million.
A few years ago I was in touch with someone who was
considering buying ME and ME Workshop, but Hhighbury
came along and outbid them.
A shame as I have always thought that it should be
owned by enthusiasts.
