Hello Norman
Some people are born lucky!
By amazing chance, I am presently browsing through some 1974 Model Engineer
magazines, where Mountaineer is serialised!
The boiler is described in great detail , from 5 April - 30 June - Volume
140 No 3486 to No 3491. I could photocopy these, and post them to you, if
you supply me with your address, email address and phone number.
I am Hubert Elffers, shep.28@xxxxxxxxxxxx, phone 01727 866104, and live in
St Albans.
I think that I have the entire series, if this interest you, including all
of Don Young's asides, and visits to the original.
Let me know.
Cheers! Hubert
