The phrase "Creative Accountant" has developed negative connotations since
Enron and WorldCom, but those are just the latest big names in the "what
would you like the number to be" sweepstakes. One of my favorites was the
life insurance company which mostly had fake policies on fake people. In
fact most of the fake people were but names on a list until the auditor
asked to see their file. At that point, the file (policy, medical exam
results, etc.) was always "in offsite storage, but we'll have it for you
tomorrow". Then a cut and paste night had a Xerox of the file for the
auditors the next day.
But yes, in response to Jesse's observation, my motor information mostly
came from targeted reading..."I have this problem and how do I fix it".
I got rebranded as "Joe Btfsplk" after a comment while trying to build on my
shed that I felt rain clouds were following me around.
