According to Reeves web site...

it lists that they at least do flanged plates for:-

Traction engine: M.E. (1933) T.E. (which they claim is 2" gauge!?!)

and

M.E. Traction Engine (which they claim is 1.5" gauge!?!)

...so they do know about it (although possibly a different scale to the
one your friend has).
