[modeleng] Model Engineer's Traction Engine

Hi,

A friend of mine has suddenly become enthused with building
something and dug out from some dim and distant cupboard bits of a 1"
traction engine that he started many years (actually decades) ago.
After much grubbing around he has located quite a bit of the engine,
including the drawings, but he is short of a few castings, things like
the main cylinder and the water pump.

The details of the engine are: 1" scale, designed by H. Greenly
in 1933. It is a freelance design, although it is believed to be
based on a Davey Paxman engine. It was published in M.E. and was known
as the "ME Engine". I wonder if that was also in 1933?

Does anyone know if castings are still available for this engine,
and if so, where? He has tried Reeves and they deny all knowledge of it!

If you guys can come up with the answers on this one I might be able
to persuade him to join the list.

       Cheers,

          Roger Mason, in St. Agnes.
