[modeleng] Re: Model Engineer Reprints

Perhaps they, TEE + Caldwell, worked together on this, or else one bought
from the other.
It wouldnt be the first time that someone, one or other of them, claimed to
be the originator, when they were buying from elsewhere.

The number of volumes seem to be the same.

Group,
In light of the comments about the ME reprints being a TEE project,
I'll amend what I said in my previous post. Caldwell at the time offered
the largest range of British model engineering books, castings, and
drawings in the USA, merchandise from all the usual suspects including TEE
It may very well be that TEE was the originator of the project, but in
their announcements and advertising to the US market Caldwell Industries
led us to believe that they were solely responsible for the reprinting
project. At the time no one had any reason to doubt this, or investigate
to discover differently. It didn't matter to us buyers where the reprints
came from or who was responsible.

Regards,
Harry
