[modeleng] Re: Midlands Model Engineering Show

HI Cliff
From what I have been told £5000 is over the top, nearer to £2500. One of
the issues seems to be that stands will cost the same at Warwick as if it
was Donnington , despite being a smaller venue.

Hi All,

I think that behind the reason for the demise of Donnington is the increased
costs for Hiring the venue which made it uneconomic.
I heard last year that the cost to the trade for a basic 6 foot stand length
was £5,000.At that rate and from some of the sizes of the stands you have to
sell a lot of bits before they start making a profit.

Regards

Clif
