[modeleng] ME Beam was Various topics

     I will at some time in the future do at least one ME Beam engine (the
castings are nearly fully seasoned).  A few weeks ago on another obscure
board someone mentioned having problems with mistakes both in the Reeves
drawings and in the original drawings in ME and this of course got my
attention.  He is building the engine without the use of castings,
fabricating or machining everything from solid.  In any case I contacted
him and recently received a list of the errors he's found.
     If anyone is contemplating an ME beam engine, or has built one in the
past and has experiences or found errors to pass along, I am keeping a
digest of errors and cautions which I'll make available to anyone who wants
them.  They may even find their way on to Alan's web site.
