[modeleng] Re: Lubricating oils

Had advice from an oil development prof who used to work for a big oil 
company. His advice was, "Use a standard 20-50 motor oil, it's designed to 
stick to small tollerance bearings. As long as you keep plenty of it there, 
you won't wear much in your lifetime. ". That was about axleboxes and 
appears to be so. Big end bearings and others, I cannot comment on really, I 
still use the 20-50 but my sweet pea needed new big end bearings after about 
300 miles, is this normal as regards sweet peas?
