If I can get a lead screw I intend to pin it to the orginal section of the
leadscrew.  It's just at 11mm od there is not a lot of room to work inside
the nut as the groove is about 1mm wide by about the same in dept

I have not actually given it a precise measure yet other than to reveal the
amount of wear in the screw itself is significant. If I was to make a new
nut on its own there would be areas where it would be tight and others where
it would be loose.

The nut is totally stripped out.

Hence the chasing up to save re-inventing the wheel.
